Guarding Your Right To Speech

WK14
This week's discussion has been interesting because it dealt with guarding and facilitating good citizenship in the online space  especially when it comes to what is an acceptable and healthy discussion as opposed to what is considered unacceptable. One of the points in the discussion that came out was about threading the fine line of acceptability and against fled abuse of freedom of speech.

These made me reflect on many discussions and comments made many times on topics that are very sensitive. you'll find people who mean no harm or evil being pushed to the limits up to a point of breaking because of the convictions on this subject  discussed.

This happens a lot in political discussions or race discussions. And such topics have a way of taking many different and unpleasant   turns.   So this week's discussion has pushed and challenged me to look deep and see if I can be able to operate above my own Prejudice and remain balanced when discussing an unpleasant topic that I have strong convictions on without crossing the line.
